How Do Glow Sticks Work?

Glow sticks have long been a staple parties and holidays like Halloween. It’s almost magical how you can just crack a plastic tube and have it light up all without batteries. In this video, I talk about the chemiluminescent reaction that takes place inside of glow sticks and the ingenious mechanism that combines the two solutions. I also talk about a chemiluminescent reaction very similar to glow sticks, the one that takes place between luminol and hydrogen peroxide.
